One Spring I took the Spring wildflowers tour they offer on Thomas Jefferson’s mountain home, Monticello. It is a lovely guided tour which invites all to see the native flora surrounding T.J.’s home. The tour started just below were he is buried, along the old road to a spring which had provided all the water brought up to Monticello. Then we followed a path down to the Rivanna River where we walked for about a ¼ of a mile along the river. Then up an embankment and across a field to the Thomas Jefferson heirloom greenhouses.
